摘要:Einstein metrics on a compact manifold are critical points of the normalized total scalar curvature functional. So it is natural to study the behavior of the second variation of the normalized total scalar curvature functional at an Einstein metric. This is known as the linear stability problem of Einstein metrics. In this talk, we will briefly review previous works on this problem, and then I will report our work on the linear stability of some interesting Einstein metrics: Riemannian metrics admitting Killing spinors, and Einstein metrics from the circle bundle construction.

报告人简介:王常亮,加拿大McMaster大学Britton Postdoctoral Fellow. 2016年在加州大学Santa Barbara分校获得博士学位。他的研究方向是微分几何以及几何分析,论文发表于International Journal of Math Journal of Geometric Analysis 等期刊。
